Yet another reason I love my wife

Saturday (our 26th Anniversary), Thelma and I went to the range to try out the new Ruger P95. This is her first 15 rounds on a 6-inch target, fired at about 1 second intervals:

As she says, "I may not kill the burglar, but he won't be in any shape to carry off our TV set."

My wife fired our gun for the first time ever yesterday after a brief tutorial on gun safety.

All her shots were unitentionally low (we know why) but last night I overheard her on the phone with her sister and she said almost the same thing only it was about me and about shooting my, err, package off.

Happy belated anniversary to you and your wife. What better way to shoot off some rounds. The title of your topic says alot :) Many more happy years to come!

I beg to differ. She's got a pretty good chance of inflicting serious damage and probably causing death with that group.

Glad to hear romance is still alive!

You're right, Jack, I sure wouldn't want to be the bad guy she targets. We will be working on her group sizes, though, and mine -- as always. Practice makes perfect.

BTW, this was the first time I tried the Birchwood-Casey Shoot-N-See targets. I love them! You can see how you're doing without waiting for the range officer to call all clear.

Happy Anniversary!

BTW, at what range?

Thanx to all for the anniversary wishes.

The range is Strickland's in Daytona Beach.

Sorry, all you single guys. All of her sisters are married, including the one who used to be a security guard and still has her Colt Python. She does have a 17-year-old lesbian biker niece who's into edged weapons, though. :)

Um, I meant "at what distance" did she shoot?

CMOS :)

Wow, if we talk about that niece I can almost guarentee that this thread will get locked! :D

My wife's (girlfriend then) first target looked something like that, only it was with a .22. She felt kind of bad until I took the target off and put it over my chest and said "I think this would work just fine." She then took it home and hung it up on the wall.

Happy anniversery!

It's true--doesn't matter how good the group looks to you, your wife won't be happy until she believes she can either kill or castrate at will. Mars and Venus, friends, Mars and Venus....

:D
