Yet another lightning strike.

Lightning kills even more people than school shooters. 3 more people were just killed by lightning while camping overnight for Ozfest. This madness must stop. Lets rally at the gates of heaven and protest until God bans lightning!

Lightning kills Wisconsin camper

The Associated Press

SOMERSET, Wis. (August 13, 2000 5:03 p.m. EDT http://www.nandotimes.com) - Lightning struck five people at a campground Saturday night, killing one man, authorities said. Another victim remains in critical condition.

The lightning hit the Apple River Campground late Saturday night in Somerset, located about 20 miles northeast of Minneapolis, Minn.

Shane E. Hulbert, 26, was pronounced dead at a hospital, Police Chief Rick Pfaff said.

Three victims were treated at the scene and released.

The tragedy occurred shortly after a nearby Ozzfest concert featuring rocker Ozzy Osbourne. It was not immediately clear if the men had attended the concert, the police chief said.

It was not raining when the lightning struck, Sgt. Chris Martin said.

"The lightning came first, and then there was a downpour that lasted about 45 minutes," he said.

The Apple River Campground released a brief statement expressing its "heartfelt sympathy."

God, Guns and Guts made this country a great country!

That must have happened in the morning (about 11 a.m.), as that was the only t-storm here that day. And I HATE OZfest (annual Ozzie Osborn outdoor thing). Loud music, wasted spectators. Lotsa traffic (some are even driving UNimpaired!), and lots cops.

And let's not forget the trash on everyone's lawns.

BTW, I live about 30 miles from there.
