Hi all been a while since i have been on the forums been flat out working.. Anyway i was able to sneak away for a spotlight a couple of weeks ago at my dads work again.

We were after foxes this time but none presented themselves, so we decided to knock a few bunnies for the pot.

Here is a couple of pics, all bunnies were shot with my Brno .22 using winchester powerpoints. Oh yeah got another feral cat too.

Looks like another good night out hunting.

How big was the Feral cat? Just wondering as it would have been an angry one to go down with a .22.

How cold is it down there this time of year?

Around here we only shoot rabbits in the winter time. We worry about diseases in rabbits and the thinking is that if they are running around in the snow, they must be healthy.

Do the rabbits down there suffer from tularemia sometimes?

Its wintertime in Australia when its summertime up here.

Looks like a good night out and plenty of good eating ahead of ya :)

Yeah, I knew it was winter down there. I was just curious as to whether their winter was more like Arizona winter or North Dakota winter.

G'day. I live in the tropics, about 20 degrees south of the Equator. In this region we have wet and dry seasons.
Butta9999 lives about 37 degrees south. Some years in the foothils in his area they might get a light fall of snow. Snow usually falls down to about 900 meters, not good coverage though. Frost is verry common that far south.

Nice work butta, very nice work. :)My trigger finger itch is driving me nuts after seeing that. Got to wait for my fractured budget to repair tho before I can get out there again.

It was actually quite mild that night about 11 degrees. It was very windy that night though, and i have to fix a mistake. I said i used powerpoints when in fact i used subsonics...

Skulls pretty much told how it is with the weather where i live..

Well im coming to the US in less than i week now so nice warm weather for me...

I shoot rabbits in summer and winter, the only problem in summer is keeping the meat fresh when out bush.. Not so much diseases.

Got my sister in laws 30th birthday. Sight seeing and the rest of it.. Actually got a day at the shooting range with a friend of the families, ex marine now a shooting instructer.... Cant wait..
