I got into reloading with Lee and RCBs equipment around 2008

Got the Lee second edition Book

Using Hodgdon and IMR powders mostly for 9mm, 45 colt, 45 ACP, and some 45-70

Lost good shooting place and been real inactive reloading for over 5 years
This winter planning to spend som quality time at the bench

I am happy with the specific reload data I can find on line

Wondering if other books may agree with, or have better ways to do things VS the Lee 2nd edition

looking for plain old good reloading books to add to the library

thought..opinions...recommendations
 
ABC's is always good as is any manual from the bullet makers you use, such as Speer, Sierra, Nosler, etc.
 
You have a decent book for good general info ( although the ABC's on reloading is a good book too )....and you get all your data online...you won't really get much more info from another reloading book in my view..

I would suggest adding some other kinds of books to your library ...as potential reasonably priced gifts from kids...

Gun Digest has a number of great books....well bound, paper backs, depending on your interest in this hobby:
1. Combat Handgunnery by well known instructor M. Ayoob
2. Books on Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson, etc
3. Books on models ...like a pair of books on 1911's
4. Books on gunsmithing - some model or mfg specific, some general
5. Books on Skeet, Trap & Sporting clays...Wing shooting, etc

Of course there are a lot of great collectors books .... Standard Catalog of S&W 3rd edition is out in hardback / books on Colt, Winchester, Browning, etc...

Lots of books from $20 - $ 40 probably.../ ...from Amazon, local gun shows, local shops, etc...
 
Buy the Lyman manual over the Lee. Lee does no testing of anything themselves. Their data comes from the powder maker. The Lyman manual has more loads using more powders than any bullet or powder maker's book. And the Reference chapters are particularly good reading.
The ABC's of Reloading is an entry level reloading 'How-to' book. Better to go with Hatcher's Notebook. Should be required reading for anybody who plays with firearms. About $30 at your local gun shop or Amazon.
