xds

I won one from springfield this year and I love it. It eats everything I feed it. The sights are very good for such a small gun and its really accurate. The trigger is a little on the heavy side but I'm fine with that as a carry gun. Now if you buy it online there are some really good deals like at grabagun.

My XDS 45 ACP has performed flawlessly with over 1500 rounds down range. Recoil is not as bad as you would think. It is accurate provided you can be consistent with it. The only down side is the heavy grip pattern can make it uncomfortable after a couple boxes at the range. I added some Talon grips and it is much more comfortable and easier to grip to boot. A quality weapon. I use it as a pocket carry often. It is pushing the upper end as a pocket gun but is doable. Other wise I use a Sof Tuck.

For me, it meets all the requirements of great a carry weapon. Consistently reliable, easy to conceal and I shoot it with consistent accuracy. With the deals they have on them, right now, it's a no brainer. Do it.

I've had an XDs 9 (4 inch) for a year and agree it handles everything. The only issue I have is the slide release is a little stiff. (I need to break out the stone and give her a few strokes)

I've owned one in 9mm and didn't care for it. The ergonomics were wrong for me and it seemed too heavy for what it was....a single stack. If I remember correctly, mine had issues with Hornady critical defense ammo. The nose would hang up on fee ramp. I really didn't keep it long enough to see if it got any better. It seem well built though. Like a tank.

I've had mine for two years and have been pleased. The only issue that I have had since the get-go has been reloading from slide lock: mine only works by tripping the slide release. Sling-shot from slide lock almost guarantees a hang-up even after about 500 rounds through the gun.

I started with an XDM 4.5" and did a trigger mod. Works great. Added an XDS 4" for carry. Shorter sights and a stiffer trigger made a big impact on how well I shot it. Getting better, but definitely shoot the longer barrel XDM better. I'd really want to try out the 3.3" one you are looking at before you make the purchase.

I have a xds 3.3 .45acp and I like it very much. I have never had a FTF or a FTE. It is accurate and the recoil isn't bad at all. Mine is my every day carry and it is small enough that after a while it just seems to disappear on my hip.

I would buy another.

Ditto to all of the above. Love the hell out of mine. As a daily carry, it just disappears and is comfortable to wear. You'll love it.

My 37 year old son, a former Marine MP, has one that's his daily carry piece and really likes it. He and I are both dyed in the wool 1911 guys but that XD really perks in his hands. He holds the combat course record at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, so he knows what he's doing with pistols. The gun is flat, powerful in .45 ACP, and surprisingly easy to control in recoil. If you can handle a .45, you may like this one. I'd recommend trying a rental if you can find one. Rod

I have the 3.8 inch 9mm.mod 2. My daily carry. Love it. Have about three hundred round count. I would by it again. It has performed flawlessly.
