Hi everybody, it's the first time i ask a question on this forum and i'm writing from Italy, so i apologise for my bad english. Let's get to the point: yesterday i was shooting my xdm 9 (9x21, the italian 9x19) and, after 50 rounds of factory ammo (without any jams), i decided to try my self-loaded ammunition and, about every 20 rounds, the same malfunction occurred. it was like a "double feed" but even the cartidges left in the barrel was hot: after correctly firing a round, the second one was chambered but the slide didn't close for about 2 centimeters (about 1 inches), as if the round on the top of the magazine was preventing the closing of the slide. removing the magazine (with a bit of strenght), the slide returned to normal position and the round was chambered correctly. Here some additional information:
1) that was the first time i tried a good amount of self-loaded ammo in that caliber (differently, my self loaded ammo work good in my glock 23 .40)
2) pistol and magazines were not oiled and weren't much clean (but not even much dirty)
3) the problem seemed to occur about in the middle of the mag
4) I've never had any problem with over 2000 factory ammo
5) because of the strongness of xdm mag's springs, it's possible that, loading full magazines (19 rounds each), i didn't put rounds in in the correct way.
hope you can help me, thank you very much!
