Wondering if anybody has or knows of anyone with Chiappas x-calibre survival 12g .22lr combo gun with the 8 12g inserts to convert the 12g to various other calibres, only stumpy 9" barrels but was wondering if anyone has used them and can give feed back, I've expressed interest in them hear in Australia but won't be available here for another 6months or so

You're saying they have 9" barrels? I'm pretty sure that would be illegal in America (or at least under restrictions of the National Firearms Act). I'd be interested to find out more about this since I haven't heard about it

However neat, that's apparently not a new idea. Simpson LTD up in Illinois somewhere sells quite a few old SG inserts.

If they sold the inserts individually I might buy a couple for the novelty. I think being able to fire a 45acp or 38 special from a single barrel (which me & my dad have a whole basket of) would be cool if they can hit anything..

Interesting idea. Kinda have a vague desire for. But it's a rube goldberg thing to shoot and enjoy, to an extent, so seems like its role would be limited to "buy; leave in box; pack away in case of WROL" only.

I have one for 30-30 that's never been used. It' shoots 32acp which I believe I bought a box of for $28. Not sure if that's a savings but I have it for the future.
