WWI vest pocket

This 25 cal. pistol was carried by a German soldier who fought in Belgium during WWI. He very neatly inscribed his name on the mag bottom and also the date 1914/15 Belgium on back of the grip. This is an Austrian Steyr with the date of manf. on the frame. (no 25 cal. were imperial proofed by the German or Austrian army.)
Thanks for looking,
Joe

I like 'em. This Model 9 "reportedly" came off a dead German SS officer during the Bulge. It has that same holster you posted.

The big brother Steyr

Nice lookin Steyr Pieper patent you got there Joe. Neat history too. Here is the one I got that you helped me find, pictured with the big brother that I just got a few weeks ago. Its a Steyr 32 acp Pieper, not very common these days. Mine was used by the Austrian Police, hence the S.W. 5993 marking and the mag numbering. They are neat guns.

Winchester 73, You have a nice collection of Steyrs, and a lot of history goes with both pistols.
