WTK what a used LNIB S&W 4013TSW is worth?

I happened to see one in the local gun store and it looked very nice. I hadn't been in the market for one, but it seems like a good deal in the box with three mags and looks pretty much like new. It doesn't have a mounting rail in front of the trigger guard, does this mean it is an earlier manufacture pistol? Any opinions or comments on this pistol and what it's worth would be appreciated. Thanks.

My carry gun is a 4013TSW, an earlier model without the goofy, tacked-on rail. I bought mine new in 1998 or 1999, I think it was $550 at that time. No idea what they go for now, but if it's a like new model of that type, this gives you an idea of what it cost when new. The gun shops around here always gripe about how there is no demand for used Smiths, yet they are always priced high. I'd expect a LNIB 4013TSW to be priced in the mid to high $400 range in shops here.

I love my 4013, it's been totally reliable with the exception of some ammo related issues with S&B FMJ, which I don't use anymore. It's accurate and the trigger has really worked itself in. I put a lighter Wolff mainspring in, and that plus lots of dry-fire practice had really made a difference. The SA trigger has a nice clean break as well.

Ive seen a couple of nice 40** series guns around. They are priced in the $ 350-450.00 range. Just depends on the dealer and the cond. of the gun. If its sweet and has Novak nights...
Id say around $ 400-450.00 $
Shoot well

Thanks for the replies. It does have the Novak site and is going for $375, so it seems like a decent deal. I guess I just need to think about a little more.
