WTK about rifle accessories

As I posted about 2 weeks ago, I'm very new to owning a rifle of my own, but have shot my friend's .243 and 30-30. Well, my long-awaited Remington PSS .308 finally showed up, and I have absolutely nothing to put on it. I generally know what I want, but I don't know the best brands, what would work best, or where to look. I'm hoping that all you gun gurus can help me. I've been looking at a Springfield 2nd or 3rd generation 4-14X56, 30mm, government recticle. Best price? Good place to buy it? How about scope mounts? I want something fairly strong that can handle the weight of this scope. I've also been looking at Harris bipods. Good choice? Anything better? I've been told to get a Turner sling, but I have no clue where to find one. And lastly, I'd like a cheek rest, preferrably adjustable. Any recommendations? Thanks a lot guys!

Try Iron Brigade Armory

They have alot of tactical accesories for remington 700 rifles including slings and cheekpads and such. They make also make a one piece scope mount with built in rings and some extra elevation that i have heard great things about, very strong and beefy. I have a harris bi-pod on one of my guns and i love it....no problems at all, very easy to mount and remove. Its too bad the search function isnt working because I remember reading some good info on the springfield armory scopes a while back. I remember the reviews not being very good. I have no first hand experience with them though. Go with a Leupold tactical or The Tasco SS. Nikon Monarch is also a good bet if you dont need mildots.
