I'm still waiting for my CC permit, and I think I'll be waiting a lot longer since the FBI has put me on the back burner. Do ya'll think this will slow down the FBI's running me through their system?

The FBI background check isn't supposed to take any longer than 72 hours. The rest is up to the issuing state. What state do you live in?

I am not sure about Louisiana, but some states have a time limit on how long they are allowed to take to issue a permit. I am not sure what you can do if they run over, but it's nice to know anyway. It looks like the Department of Public Safety issues permits in your state. Their website is at http://www.dps.state.la.us/lsp/chips.html I would check it out and then give them a call to see what the hold up is. Good luck!

It says 90 days.......it hasn't been that long. There is no excuse for it to take this long. This is rediculous.
