i am looking for a good AR-15 brass catcher that wouldn't have to be emptied after each mag. i'm not to worried about price but do want real good quality.

Seems to me there are 2 kinds...the mesh one, which Ive heard causes all sorts of jams and stovepipes, and the plastic box kind, which is heavy and bulky....

I think once you learn how your ejector works you can probably set a 5 gallon bucket in the right area to catch your spent casings...seems like all my brass gets ejected at 4 o clock and can land anywhere from 5ft-15ft away:o

I'm not much for caring about weight i live in montana and there us tons ofgrass that seems tho "eat" brass and it's getting old:mad:... Where would i find one of those plastic ones???

I bought the one from Brownell's. It was 30$ but it doesn't melt. It is made of ballistic nylon. I read that the 10$ ones are normal nylon and will melt.

Works as expected. The velcro strap is a little long and takes a little manipulation to manuever around my scope.

I've seen someone at the range use a fine lined fishing net in a PVC holder that was placed next to the gun that caught the brass as it was ejected.
