Wouldn't a "commander" style hammer look neat on a Colt SAA?

This is a joke, right?

Now, on a DA wheelgun, I could actually see it. Especially for J-class; Ruger prototyped the SP101 with such a setup; I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

Jim March,

I'm pretty sure it's a gag based on this thread. ;)

(...at least, I hope it is. Lavan's always struck me as being quite sane. )

Tamara

dang it. My next was gonna be a bob hammer Luger.

but...........I....think...there's.....more.....

stay tuned.

heh

Mike: if it's about the same size as a J-Frame, and eats out of the same speedloaders, but it doesn't say "S&W" on it, I tend to call it a "J-class". Charter Arms, Taurus, Rossi, God knows how many others have been made. The SP101 is slightly oversized for the breed, but still qualifies.

"J-Class revolvers?"

Descriptive of the size/type, when not always by S&W. Good concept, Jim March. Descriptive, brief, handy. I like it.

Best,
Johnny

Not many people know this.....

but the rowel style thumb piece on the Broomhandle Mauser was actually a carry mechanism.

The concept was to thread two ends of a suitably decorative cord through the aperture in the rowel and then carry the pistol by it's cord around the neck.

Hence the name, "Bolo" Mauser.

Honest

"Oh, the humanity!" (Hindenburg crash)

"The Horror...the Horror..." (Apocalypse Now/Heart of Darkness)

"Madness...Madness!" (Bridge on the River Kwai)

:)

Oh, yeah. Commander hammer, rubber grips, red dot scope, camo paint, and HOW ABOUT A MUZZLE BRAKE! Sorry. I got excited.

But with a little work it could look just about like a little modified Ruger 10/22.
