Would you trade?

Ive got a guy that wants to trade some ammo for a Marlin 336BL(big loop, ahorter barrel and laminated stock). Ive had it listed and no interest at $350 locally. He wants to trade 1500 rounds of XM193 5.56, 250 rounds of federal 9 pellet buckshot and 250 rounds of federal 1 oz slugs.

Seems like a good deal to me. All is factory loaded and I could sell the 5.56 and keep the shotgun ammo. Whatdoya think??

I haven't seen 5.56 ammo for much less than $300 per thousand, so you are looking at $450 in value there. Even if you cut someone a deal and let them have it for the $350 you originally wanted for the Marlin you will have your cash and the shotshells to boot !

Do a little research and get the value of the buck and slugs - then ask how old the ammo is he wants to trade. If it is anywhere near current production, you are way ahead on this deal.

Thats what I was thinking also. Would be good to have something to put away JIC at an unbeatable price. He said it's all new production, factory ammo. Stored loose in a NVG ammo can for the 5.56 and lose in two seperate wooden 54r ammo boxes.
