Hi people
I'm a volunteer "editor" for the Open Directory project.
The Open Directory Project's goal is to produce the most comprehensive directory of the web, by relying on a vast army of volunteer editors.
The project believes that as the Net grows geometrically, automated search engines and paid editors will not be able to keep up. Hence the use of many, many volunteer editors.

Please note I get nothing from this -- other than a whole lot of satisfaction at being able to promote pro-gun websites.

Forgot to say it's totally free, no catches, no spam, no nothing. But I do have a fairly explicit set of guidelines as to what constitutes a "personal" web page, so clubs etc. are out. (But there is a section for them anyway!) Note too the emphasis is on "recreation" rather than "politics"! (Not that politics is excluded.)
