Would You buy It ?

I have a chance to buy a S&W 686 4inch stainless 357 that is 15 yrs new and has about 100 rounds fired. It has a few scratches on the steel but otherwise in very good shape. I already own a GP100 4inch stainless that is in very good condition and love the 357 models.
Thanks
Mike

Depending on price, although one of these is on my list to be purchased next. Either a used one of these or a M&P.

If you have a thing for .357s I'd buy it. The 686 is a fine gun and some will argue (I'm one) that it is a better gun than the GP. I will be the first to tell you that while the S&Ws typically have better triggers than the GPs, it isn't by much. All and all, the GP and S&W are nearly equal revolvers and both have their supporters.

If you like fine .357 revolvers and its a fair price, it would be a fine buy. If you expect it to out do your GP, it won't.

Would I buy it?

Yes, in fact, I did! A 686 Plus. Now I want one with a 3-inch barrel. Maybe a new one, maybe a pre-lock used one.

Buy It

Only a few rounds fired, a pre-lock gun, and a great gun. If the price is reasonable, snap it up, brother! (Almost anything less than a new gun price is looking reasonable these days. I saw a used one today, that definitely had more rounds through it, for $550 in the local gun store. If it's still there next Tuesday, I may put it on layaway!

Posting the asking price would be quite helpful in this situation. But, this is a desireable weapon of which you speak. If you think the price is fair, who cares what any of us think! ;) Buy it!

Assuming it is truly a well-kept gun (only 100 rounds?) and the price is fair, I personally would have already started a thread with the title, "Look What I Just Found!" vs. "Would You Buy It?" :D And Im not even a "revolver guy."
