Having spent the last 30 years in the retail/wholesale seafood business, and having part of our business being the servicing of restaurants, I've seen a lot of things sold that you'd just never expect to see on a plate. And I'll admit too that I've eaten a lot of squirrels, actually like them.

But this is going just a little to far................or is it?

Why not?

We eat farmed everthing else, its just meat. However you have to appreciate the inventive spirit of its marketer. I would try it. I love pulled squirrel BBQ, i just don't seam to have the time to pot squirrels.

I dont hunt squirrels b/c i love their flavor. Infact i'm on the fence if not leaning towards 'dont like the flavor'. But it gets me in the woods, i have lots of fun with the .22, check out new hunting areas, hike around ect ect. its the whole experience and the fact that i wont kill something that i wont eat(in general). So thats why i eat them. Now if they just tasted like beef or venison....

shortydog you take all the fun out of it.:D

I cook mine in a crock pot then make tamales out of them, very tasty. Made 100 dozen this past January for a party and they were all eaten. Really surprised some people at how good squirrel meat actually is.

Aw, man. I was hoping it was real.:)

Squirrel jerky rehydrated with whiskey and various flavorful liquids, stew it with some onions and peppers...

Squirrel burritos!

Okay, you got me.

My best friend has a Filipina wife who absolutely loves squirrel. I was all ready to forward him this link...

Oh well, guess their air rifle and/or .22 will continue to get a work out. Sure would have made a great Christmas gift, though...

I'm laughing because someone found out that it was a joke by attempting to order squirrel.

Perhaps we should use this as a pilot study, and raise squirrels!
