Maybe.
If you vote straight ticket, the machine will read that hole first, and then as a countercheck read for any other punchings.
If there are punchings, it will flag that ballot as either being invalid or suspect.
Now, I would think that depending on the law of the voting area, it MIGHT be invalid, in essence, an attempt to cast two votes on a single ballot.
Again, depending on the rules of the election area, it might be reviewed by hand, and an election official could determine that it would constitute one vote per Republican candidate.
I would think that would be pretty shaky, though.
