COMING SUNDAY
Gun maker stands up to Clinton
Geoff Metcalf interviews Bob Morrison, executive VP of Taurus International

by Geoff Metcalf

Unable to push its hard-core gun control agenda through Congress, the Clinton administration has taken to using the threat of massive lawsuits to force gun manufacturers to do its bidding. Smith & Wesson recently gave in to the administration's demands to avoid legal harassment.

But not all manufacturers are caving in. Among those standing firm is Miami-based Taurus International, which makes pistols, revolvers and rifles. WorldNetDaily reporter Geoff Metcalf interviewed Taurus Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Bob Morrison about threats and offers of bribery Morrison claims his company has received from public officials. Morrison also describes the extraordinary means government personnel have employed in attempting to punish gun manufacturers that hold their ground.

Taruas huh? Hmm, they look like Smith & Wessons. They feel like Smith & Wessons. They're priced better than Smith & Wessons. Over the years the quality has improved to equal Smith & Wesson. They didn't stab us in the back like Smith & Wesson.

Gunslinger

We live in a time in which attitudes and deeds once respected as courageous and honorable are now scorned as being antiquated and subversive.

In my opinion, my Taurus Model 608 .357 mag
8 shot revolver is better than S&W

It sports a 8&3/8 inch barrell with 8 compensating holes, four in a row ,on both
sides and just aft of the front sight.

Recoil is insignificant, full power .357 shoots like 38 spl lite target loads and 38 spl lite target loads shoot like a .177 cal
pellet air pistol.

Accuracy is outstanding and then some.

1 inch groups at 75 ft, 2 in groups at 150 ft
3 in groups at 225 ft and 4 in groups at 100
yards.

No I am an old fellow, and I cant see out past 25 yards much anymore and I have lymes desease infectious artiritis in all my joints
and I can still shoot as above with the Taurus Model 608

I would not be suprised if a young fellow who could see could hit 25 cent pieces at 50 yards with that Taurus.

I highly recommend the Taurus 608 or 607 or
606 line to any one who wants a accurate ,high quality revolver.
Recommend to made sure to get the barrell porting models with adj sights.

My impression in one line:Taurus 608
Best gun I ever owned. I own 120 guns, many of the quite expensive.

I might add, that Taurus has a better warrantee than that of S&W. Lifetime. I have never been interested personally in Taurus products, but I am kinda curious about the performance of their Titanium revolvers, and in 4 or 5 years, I might consider their Titanium/polymer auto pistol. I want to see it after they work the bugs out.
