Just wondering about woodleigh projectiles. I currently use nosler accubond and partition bullets in my .30 cals. In australia they are quite expensive, i understand woodleigh are for thick skinned game and dangerous game. Would they be suitable for deer sized game such as sambar. i was thinking of the 180gr weldcore for my .300 win mag.

I have been told they act like a solid and without a direct vital organ hit, well you can be up for a long trek finding your quarry. Anyone who has used these projectiles, have you had success.

I think you should contact the mfg directly. As I understand their bullets are made for various velocity ranges just as US bullets are made for certain velocity ranges.

I have used the .312" 215 gr. bullets in my 1891 Argentine carbine with no problems.

Only in a 9.3x62 where they met expectations -

Only in a 9.3x62 where they met expectations - the 9.3x62 is a relatively low velocity or short range cartridge of ample power so I can only encourage a trial not give a useful opinion.
