Wooden stocks for Beretta 87 Cheetah .22 - ?

I would like to replace the brown (walnut?) stocks with something like Spegel's Cocobolo stocks for the BHP. Can someone direct me to a source of high-end aftermarket stocks for the little Beretta 87?

Also, would you know if the 87 stocks are interchangeable with those made for the 84 (.380) ?

I've been keeping my eyes open for a good used Beretta 87, but they're hard to find. Although I can't help you with your stocks question, I'd like to ask you about the reliability of your 87. Have you had any problems with it? Is it fairly new? Roughly how many rounds have you put through it? If you use it as a carry-gun, how do you like it for that purpose?

I apologize for not being able to answer your question and for asking you so many questions instead. :)

Batwing,

I have never seen aftermarket grips for the 87. I don't know if grips from the 84 would work, but I'd guess they might.

I have an 87 with wood grips, which has been utterly reliable. The slide & trigger move so smoothly that they put my German PP to shame. It shoots to point of aim at 25 yds. I am selling it, contact me at 10mmman@mchsi.com if interested.

You can also ask some of the folks at:

By the way, do you know of any mag loaders that will work for the Beretta 87 (I have the long barrel version)? How do you like your pistol?

Batwing, I don't have one yet, but there is a great deal at the shop on one they ordered for someone else. I was asking because I'm itching to go back and pick it up.

I have been unable to find much feedback on this relatively rare gun, as it seems that few TFLers have any experience with it. I have a great deal of trust for Beretta's products, so I'm willing to take a chance on the 87.
