I bought a used Kahr K40 Covert last week to replace my Colt M1903 Pocket Model as a carry gun. Have already run over 200 rounds through it and it is a SUPER little gun. The DAO trigger is really light and smooth.
Several questions.
The little gun shoots about 4 inches low for me and I'd like to put adjustable sights on it. Brownell's ccatalog shows that MMC makes adj sights (windage & elevation) for it. Does anybody have experience with the current MMC product? Are the sights user friendly to install. How about the tritium inserts - are they any good as compared to other brands. Do you know of anybody else who makes adj sights for the Kahr?
I'd like to put wood grips on the gun but Kahr only offers them
in Pau Ferro. Would rather have fancy walnut or ebony. Does anybody else make grips for the Kahr?
What do you think about the stainless steel guide rod that they sell? Worthwhile addition?
Is there any way to stop the gun from mangling the brass?
Finally, its murder to assemble/dissassemble. Any hints/tricks Is the plastic tool they sell any good?
Sorry for the long post.
Many thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
THANKS !!!!
Charlie
