Wood grips for Makarov

Does anyone make wood grips for the Mak? I tried some from makarov.com, but they cracked after about 25 rounds (but they sure looked good on the gun).

I bought the ones from Makarov.com. I sanded them down, stained them, and refinished with polyuretane. I have only shot the gun a couple times after buying the grips but they seem to be holding up OK. I believe that they are made from three seperate pieces of wood which are then glued together. I put an additional bead of glue down the joints on the inside.
I posted the same question a couple months ago and this was all I turned up.

PISTOLET MAKAROVA should have Red Star grips, Comrade!

... I have seen wood grips for makarov, but they were not very sturdy. The design of the grip is such that wood needs to be very thick to stand up to the pounding of blowback action. Plastic or rubber works much better.

My East German Makarovs (2) both wear rubber grips because they make the gun feel so much better in the hand and they are durable.
