wood grips for K40

just put a set of Gonoco Alves wood grips on my stainless K40 Kahr. wood looks like dark walnut with a black figure grain pattern. grip profile is identical to the Houge grips that came on it. as far as concealability of the gun, the grips do not catch on clothes at all. grip on the gun is not quite as firm as the grips are not checkered.(i am checking into that right now LOL) however i like the new feel of the gun and i think they will stay on. as far as shooting the Houge grips were probably helping absorb some recoil. i have installed a Harrts recoil rod and a 22 lb. Wolff recoil spring and the gun was more comfortable to shoot. now i am back to were i was before. recoil is sharp but controlable. i feel when hot weather arrives and i am concealing under a light tee shirt or polo shirt, the wood grips will make a huge difference in controling printing. i have tried to conceal guns with sticky Houge grips before and i have had some embarassing moments when an article of clothing rode up and exposed my holster or gun! this is most likely when you have been seated and stand up, like getting out of a car or getting up from a chair.

Were these the grips that Kahr offers as an accessory? And may I ask how much?

I have heard that these grips are made by Hogue as well as the rubber ones that are on it originally. Have thought about calling Hogue and seeing if I can get the grips from them directly.

Can you post a pic, or e-mail me one. I would like to see how it looks.

grips are Kahr supplied. they are made by Houge but Houge will not sell them to individuals. that sucks because i wanted a set of them checkered in coco bolo. my favorite. they cost $49.95 and shipping. they took 3 to 4 weks to get to me. all in all we would be better off with Houge. i want mine checkered and i will be checking on that ASAP. if Houge won't do it i guess i will have to get a custom guy to do it. any suggestions?
