just put a set of Gonoco Alves wood grips on my stainless K40 Kahr. wood looks like dark walnut with a black figure grain pattern. grip profile is identical to the Houge grips that came on it. as far as concealability of the gun, the grips do not catch on clothes at all. grip on the gun is not quite as firm as the grips are not checkered.(i am checking into that right now LOL) however i like the new feel of the gun and i think they will stay on. as far as shooting the Houge grips were probably helping absorb some recoil. i have installed a Harrts recoil rod and a 22 lb. Wolff recoil spring and the gun was more comfortable to shoot. now i am back to were i was before. recoil is sharp but controlable. i feel when hot weather arrives and i am concealing under a light tee shirt or polo shirt, the wood grips will make a huge difference in controling printing. i have tried to conceal guns with sticky Houge grips before and i have had some embarassing moments when an article of clothing rode up and exposed my holster or gun! this is most likely when you have been seated and stand up, like getting out of a car or getting up from a chair.

Liberty is a well armed lamb contesting the outcome of the vote.
Let he that hath no sword sell his garment and buy one.--And they said. Lord here are two swords. And he said unto them. That is not enough. Luke 22-36,38
They all hold swords, being expert in war: every man hath his sword upon his thigh because of fear in the night. Song of Solomon 3-8
