Woo Ha! (Kimber)

Spent the last week looking for any remaining Springfield Mil-Spec 1911s in Colorado. I accidentally came across a Kimber Master Dealer who was selling Custom Classics for the same price as some other jokers were selling Mil-Specs.

Gonna take it apart tonight, put it back together, take it apart...

Anything I should do to this little guy besides wipe off the excess oil and put a box of ammo through it?

A box?? Sure, and you can eat only one potato chip, right?

Field strip, clean everything, including full cleaning of barrel, lube, assemble, and enjoy. Every once in a while, a new Kimber needs a little break in period before it will feed JHP smoothly. If yours fails to feed, stick to ahrd ball for the first few hundred rounds.

I don't know that you need the wrench, but it sure makes it easier in my opinion. I use mine when I take down my 1911s.

Enjoy your Kimber.
