Won a box of 8 ga shells

I've been hunting for 30 yrs and have never seen or herd of an 8 ga.can you even buy them anymore, who makes them and how much for the shells.
 
I know I saw pics of 8ga shotguns that they use for commercial applications. They clean furnaces with them. I tried to find pics but I couldn't find any.
 
Back in black powder days, 8 gauges were common for waterfowling. Outlawed for sporting purposes and market hunting before WWI, these are quite scarce now.

They are used for some industrial applications. The launchers look more like artillery than long arms.
 
If they are from the old punt gun era they are a valuable collectors item. If they are the newer industrial load then not worth much.
