just curious how many of the shooters on this forum are women or are younger than say 25. perhaps the best way to beat the gun control freaks is to get more young and women shooters involved. what do you think? BTW my wife and kids are involved in the shooting sports. for us it is a great family activity

Do your kids know any kids who might like to shoot? If so, talk to and invite their parents to go along with you.
If you go regularly to a commercial range, have you talked to the owner about reduced rates for kids/students/women? And fliers and posters to that effect?
If you're part of an IPSC or IDPA club, do you ever put on "just for fun" kids' or women's events?
Bug your kids' school principal as to, "How do you teach gun safety? Guns exist; what are you doing so that kids don't act stupid?" Sandbag, of course. You don't have to tell him of your own knowledge and actions--at least not right off. Just be a concerned parent.
