Wolf Ultramatic Race Gun??

CDNN recently advertised a German semiauto competition pistol called the Wolf Ultramatic. It has a fixed, compensated bbl, weaver rail on top. Offered in 9mm, 40sw, 38 super.

Anybody know about this firearm? I'd love to have a nice steel plate gun without spending $2000 for a customized 1911.

I've searched the web and rec.guns and I can't find a word about it.

Looks interesting. What's the scoop?

I think Doug Koenig (maybe it was Leatham?) tried to use one for competition once. He did not use it long due to reliablity problems and yanked out one of his old 1911s to finish the match (Bianci or Masters 99?). This was documented on American Shooter. Guns and Ammo had an article on the Ultramatics once and of course everything was sunshine and happy thoughts.

I just saw that ad, for the price asked ($499) it's peeked my interest. Can't find any info either. Anyone ?
