Wolf ammo for Makarov?

Looking for a case of 9x18 for my Makarov. Is Wolf OK in this caliber? Need advice.

Wolf is fine. Makarov will eat anything and spit it out, on target, all the time, every time.

There are lots of great choices out there. You have a Makarov so you can hardly err on the ammo.

Jody is correct. My Mak will digest anything I feed it.

The Russians made the gun AND the ammo. I mean, if anyone can be trusted to make ammo that will work in the Mak, they're the ones.

I use wolf ammo for practice. It's not a bad round it's primers are hard and I have had a few FTF on the first attempt. I use Fiocchi and Cor-bon for carry. Also wolf ammo is hot stuff and recoil is stiff.

Check out http://www.makarov.com. They will have a link to Dan's Sport Ammo (IIRC) and they are the folks you want to do bidness with for ammo. Green box Novosibirsk (LVE) ammo for a C-note per 1000 round case, delivered. Great folks to deal with as well. Can't say enough good about 'em.

I'm glad someone other than me on TFL has noted the fact that Wolf ammo stinks- literally.

Just bought a case and tried it out yesterday. It works great, but you're right, it stinks!

I'm pretty pleased with Novosibirsk/LVE aka "green box". I heard somewhere that the Novosibirsk cartridge works have long supplied the Russian military with "extra match" grade ammo.
