Wingmaster Trigger Assembly in an 870 Express?

Would a trigger assembly from an 870 Wingmaster fit an 870 Express?

I would say it would, dont think they changed the trigger group since it was made, except for the key lock on the safety button on the new ones!

Although I have read here and on THR that the trigger groups are/were "fitted", I have swapped them many times.
In fact, I think that I only have one 870, a '55, that still retains its original group. All the full-size frame groups interchange as well. I built a '56 16 ga. WM for Mrs. 9mmMike using an awful lot of 12 gauge bits.

I recently bought a trigger that came out of a 870 express that was to wide to fit my 870 express. it took only a couple minutes with a file to make it fit perfectly. so I guese that means they arent all the exact same.but the one from my express also fits my wingmaster.

They theoretically should be interchangeable. The express may be a tight fit in the wingmaster however.
