Wingmaster age by serial # ?

Is there a place where I can find out the manufacture date of my wingmaster by the serial number ?

If your gun has the original barrel you can determine the date of manufacture by looking at the barrel code list www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9555

Call Remington at 800-243-9700 and give them the serial number. They'll date it over the phone.

I recently got my wingmaster 870..
Seriel starting with T and ends with V

i wrote to remington and they were helpful in saying my gun were manufactured in 1976. But according to the chart table T was made in 1970. or 1999( my is old gun .. so i would guess its 70's rather than 90s) but 1970 and 1976 is long way off...

so i dont know which to believe but i guess at least i know its 70's....

The table is for the small letters on the barrel (on the left side, just forward of the receiver), not for the serial number on the receiver. John

The barrel numbers still don't tell you much unless you know the guns history. 870 barrels are swapped around a lot.
