Winchester WINCLEAN ammo?

I recently purchased a new Beretta 92FS and have ran about 300 rounds through it. 200 of those were Blazers, they went through without a hitch. The other night I picked up 2 boxes of Winchester's WINCLEAN. This stuff is absolute junk!! The first mag had 2 that wouldn't eject, they got hung half way out. Had 12 all together out of the first box end up that way. I haven't got into the second box yet, but I expect the same. Just to make sure it wasn't the pistol I ran another box of Blazers through it, again without a hitch.

They call this stuff WINCLEAN, I started with a clean gun and after 2 mag fulls, the pistol was filthy. At least 5 times dirtier than it was after the first 200 Blazers. Probably worse than 5 times, because the pistol really wasn't dirty at all when I cleaned it after the 200 Blazers. I couldn't beleive what it looked like after just 2 mags shot.

Has anyone else had this experience with this ammo? Did I mention I won't be buying anymore of it?

I'm gonna order me a case from somewhere soon. Would also like to know from you guys where you buy from? What brand? How much do you pay for it?
Thanks....

I tried some in my Browning HP and had a few "fail to feed". I noticed that the residue was very visible but was easy to clean. I really didnt like it much and have gone back to SPEER LAWMAN 115 TMJ's.

I have been checking out some of the on-line ammo co's and AMMOMAN.COM seems to be a good place to start.

I shot 100 rds. through my Glock 30 with no problems at all. Like you, I'm not sure why it's named Winclean. The Big Dawg was a mite dirty. dk

I have shot about 300 rounds through my Ruger P95 with no problem. the clean part is that they put out 95% less lead vapers the most ammo.
The only downside I have found is that they
are not real accurate.

I just shot 200 rounds of the .40 Cal version through my SW99. It functioned flawlessly, although I have not had a single problem with my SW99 mis-feeding any ammo type I have used to-date. I did not have an accuracy problem either with my shots today. I did think that it was dirtier than the other ammo brands that I have used though...

I have used both, regular Winchester, and WinClean in .40 S&W. Usually run upwards of 800 rounds through in a weekend without cleaning my Sig. Didn't notice any difference in performance. Accuracy was the same, no malfunctions from either. The gun was a lot less gummed up after the Winclean weekend.

Hmmm. Maybe I got me a bad Beretta. I've always heard they'll gobble up most anything you shove in them. Either way, no more of that WINCLEAN stuff for me.

Hmmm. You also could have purchased from a bad lot of ammo.

I've used .45 cal 230 grain FMJ Winclean in my Colt and Charles Daly w/o problems. I've shot about 500 rounds, through both.

I did notice less residue on the weapons, when cleaning.

I guess it just proves, YMMV.

I experienced 7 misfires out of a box of 50 rounds in my Glock 30. All were good, solid firing pin hits and I haven't had this problem with my handloads in many thousnad rounds. I won't be buying anymore!

They should rename this stuff Winfilth. They call it clean because it is lead free, and lead can cause serious bore fouling if you never clean you pistols.
This ammo leaves more powder and primer residue than any ammo I have ever used. After shooting 100 rounds of this stuff, my pistol bore and chamber looked like a used ashtray.
So even though I clean my guns after every use I was surprised to see this much filth from allegedly "clean" ammo.

I wonder, does Winchester have somewhere I could e-mail them and tell em how much I enjoyed their ammo? Or how fun it was digging all those weak firing hulls out of my pistol?

I shot a box of the Winclean BEB .45acp today. I did not notice any difference in accuracy in comparison to my usual Cheapo FMJ. I cleaned the gun tonight, and it did not seem especially dirty either (it was only 50 rounds). Did have 1 failure to feed though...
