Winchester Trapper Barrel

I do not have a device at home to measure but in looking it appears that my Trapper 30/30 barrel OD is larger than my 20in Model 94 barrel in the same cal. Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand your question. If you want to measure to see if one is larger then the other use a piece of string. Rap the string around the bbls and mark it at where it meets the start. The one with the longer string has the bigger OD.

And what if it does have a larger OD? No biggie IMO... They may have different specs for the two different models.

Perhaps someone who owns both models could (or has) made a little more precise measurement (such as with a set of outside calipers). Winchesters Email replys sometimes are very slow. Thanks in advance for all responses.
