Winchester Silvertips

I have 145 gr Winchester Silvertips, which is the only Silvertip option available on the cheaperthandirt web site. Does Winchester not make a 125 gr Silvertip (which I'd very much like to have for my SP101)?

Tyro, they do make a 125 silvertip @945FPS for ~248FPE. They also offer it in 110Gr. Recently, I stumbled on a bunch of discontinued Silvertip 90Gr. (.38 specials).

I'll assume the caliber in question is .357 Magnum. AFAIK, Winchester doesn't offer a 125gr. Silvertip in that caliber. They do have a .38 Spl. +P 125gr. Silvertip.

No they don't make a 125gr Silvertip. They once did but proper expansion was a problem, they tended to overpenetrate.
They do make a 110gr jacketed hollow point which is excellent for self defense.

What is ~248FPE? I am looking for .357 ammo. Do you know if Winchester makes a 125 Silvertip in a .357 cartridge?

Tyro, it means approximately 248 foot pounds of energy. I was thinking .38.
