G'day from Downunder.
This is my first post so hopefully I can get some help. Down here in Australia, you are considered a terrorist if you have something that carries more than two shells (not really but the rules couldn't get anymore draconian). As such no one will give me advice down here.
I have a model 120. It was out of action for a long time. i have cleaned it up and make it all shiny and new.
i loaded a snap cap into it to try it out and......
it will no longer pump and it will no longer fire. i could not pump it, and i could not pull the trigger. it was as if the gun had been frozen. short of hacking up the gun with an angle grinder i had to shove a rod down the barrel and push the shell back out. ... try again
same thing.
ok try again with another empty shell
same thing.
i pulled the gun apart and using the breach, i pushed an empty shell into the barrel to see if i could make out what was going on. and yes, it was still a sticky stubborn ****. the only way for me to get the breach and the shell out was to use the rod to push it out.
WHAT IS GOING ON ?? Everything seems to be in order, the bits inside the receiver (i'm sorry i don't know proper names for everything yet) seem to be just fine. no burrs, no nicks, no missing pieces, nothing.
this poses 2 questions
1. what is wrong with this gun?
2. assuming that the problem lies with the breach and the barrel and a shell, what does that have to do with the firing mechanism? it should still fire, right ?
i would really appreciate some help people.
thank you very much.
