Winchester Model 97

Interested in knowing how common/rare the practice of furnishing matched serial numbered barrels for this gun was. Mine was mfg'd 1941 and has the 30" full and a 26" imp cyl. (12 guage).

I have no idea and none of my references says anything about it. I would guess it's fairly rare.

The Win Model 12 listing in the Blue Book says to add 60% for each extra barrel, so it doesn't look like it was very common.

Thank you for the reply...and your research efforts. It seems that there is a bit more information out there on the Model 12 (have a 16 gauge bought used in 1963...unfortunately not with factory matched barrels)
