Winchester model 94 AE hammer springs, anyone on here try a lighter spring?

A reduced power hammer spring supposedly will give you a better trigger pull. If you're buying springs, buy the 'pak' so you'll have both.
A Win 94 is a long way from being a target rifle, but anything that smooths a trigger is a good thing.

The springs are on order. I can't go wrong for $11 and I can always put it back original. Like said, this gun is for range fun and "might" get hunted with someday. I really wanted one lever gun in my safe to plink with and I couldn't pass it up for $300.

My XS ghost rings/dove tail blank will be in today. ;)

One of the many benefits of the rebounding hammer of the Angle Ejects is that it gives you a heavier trigger pull and requires more effort in cycling the action.

I found with mine that the big loop lever provides more leverage & requires less effort to cycle than the standard lever.
I don't care about the heavier trigger in that gun.

Good luck with the spring kit.
You may find a tendency toward light primer hits, it may work just fine.

Where can I find the big loop lever, that would be a nice upgrade.

I sm concerned about light strikes. That is the kind of feedback I'm looking for from someone who has tried it

I've been searching but i can't find one of the "big loop" handles anywhere. I know that its a hollyweird thing but they do look cool. This rifle is for fun so I wouldn't mind trying one.

Does anyone have a source?

Mule Man can modify your own lever in more than one style, take a look.

The big loopers are controversial, they can slow you down some in rapid fire with all that room for the hand to bounce around inside, but I grew up with the Wayne & Connors Winchesters, think they do look Cowboy Cool, and in my case, with THAT gun, it just works better than the standard lever.

I've tried both on it, the big loop stays.

I've also developed a technique of how to position my hand in it during cycling that doesn't slow me down much at all, practically speaking, and since I don't shoot CAS speed isn't a huge necessity anyway.

I think the Mule Man is going to get my lever to upgrade, really nice work. I'm thinking the "Hunter" loop with a dark leather wrap for a mild "Hollywood Cowboy" look.

Next Marlin I decide to keep will have its lever sent to him.
Good selection of choices & you don't have to buy a whole new lever.
