Winchester Model 70 trigger.

How do you make a win. trigger "crisp"?
Can you get rid of the "mushiness". I believe the term I am looking for is creap but I could be wrong. I am reffering to how the trigger must be pulled a certain distance before releasing. I would like a trigger that breaks like glass and instead of plastic (if that makes sense).
It came from the factory set at about 8 lbs. I used the two nuts on the trigger to reduce the pull weight to something more reasonable. I don't think there are any other adustments that I can do. Can a gunsmith improve this or would I have to buy a replacement trigger?

In all honesty the trigger isn't that bad I would just like something a little better as a good trigger really seems to help me out in the accuracy department.

You can adjust the overtravel, but not the creep. You can also buy a Timney trigger for under $60, or a Jewell for around $200.

The overtravel on the 70 is by turning the screw that the setscrews are threaded on clockwise, until the rifle won't fire. Then slowly back out the screw, putting pressure on the trigger, as you back out the screw, until the rifle fires. Then back it out around 1/8 turn more and lock down the locknut.
