What ever happened to this rifle? Originally it was Winchester's offering in the big bore, long range (bean field) catagory. At first it had a BOSS, then it didn't and now it's not even cataloged. I have to believe that I am not the only Model 70 CRF fan out there who like to reach out and touch.

This is my favorite bolt action rifle. .300 Win Mag, "Lucifer's Hammer". Although the barrel was slow as compared to my friends Sendero (26" vs. 24") and it's a copper mine, I still love it. After careful reloading, I was able to get it to shoot .75 to 1 MOA at 500 yards. It is currently at Bansner's Ultimate Rifles getting squared and rebarreled with a Lilja 27" 1 in 10" twist tube. It should be home by the end of March. Never, never tell a gunsmith you are in no hurry!
