Alright TFL members, my father came across an elderly woman who showed him 2 rifles that she wants to get rid of. She said she would sell them outright for $300-$400. He took a look and wasn't entirely positive but believes they are Winchester Model 52 and a Model 62. He didn't comment on the condition of them and he is going back today to get serial's and model numbers to confirm. I have been doing a little research but thought of no better community to ask than my fellow TFL guys and gals :D. How much are these weapons worth because he wants to buy then sell them immediately. I will upload pictures this afternoon if he takes any. I thought maybe somewhere in the $1200-1500 price range for 100% condition.

If it is a 52, value would vary greatly depending on what flavor of model 52. The most highly prized (if I recall correctly) is the model 52C Sporter. Mucho big bucks for one of those rare rifles.

Hey so unfortunately after closer inspection my dad said they are Remington's :( I don't know how he got those confused lol I think the old age is getting to him but oh well. Thank you all for the input and he may purchase the pump .22 anyway because its in fairly good shape and always accurate.

I would be very careful when buying a model 52. There are some versions valued at $6-$7 hundred and some models (the 24" barrelled Sporter)valued at $3-$4 thousand. There are also many "gunsmith sporters" out there that have been drilled and tapped for scope mounts and barrels shortened.

If they are old Remington bolt-actions, they may well be one of the 5XX series - (510, 511, 512). Those are super shooters.

52's are Gold.....certain Sporters can go for $5,000 and way up. Bull barrels, vintage stainless barrels and special order units can get crazy.

If you've got a Remington model 37......those are nearly as hard to come by as 52's and bring a hefty dollar.
