Winchester Model 1906 rear sight

I have a Winchester Model 1906 (std) manufactured in 1912 (based on serial number). It is missing the rear sight. It has a 3/8" dovetail for the rear sight mount as opposed to a screw mount type with screw elevator. All of the 1906's I see on the internet seem to have the screw type sight. Can anyone tell me if it is possible I have a 1906 variation with an original dovetail or has someone cut a dovetail where the screw hole was?
 
There were three versions of the 06. The first one would shoot 22 short only, the standard and the expert shot everything except 22 mag or WRF 22. The rear sight should be a buckhorn type sight. These are available through Brownell's. Won't be a Winchester more than likley but will work.
