I would like to know if pre64 model 12 had a trigger disconnect? A friend told me that all pre64 did not have a trigger disconnect. Know one around here seems to know for certain. Thank You KINCHEN

pumping the slide

Thank you Paul Salchow for your answer. So you can fire all the shells in the gun by holding the trigger back and pumping the slide . I am talking about a 1953 model 12. That is acourse after pulling the trigger for the first shot. Am I correct on this? Thank You Kinchen

Yes, you can...but I don't recommend it....

My grandfather's old model 12 is like that, I thought is was just worn out from years of shooting, but didn't know that is was a design issue...

It can be done. However, it has little practical use.

Herb Parsons was one of the best exhibition shooters that ever lived. He could throw 7 clays into the air and hit each one with a Model 12.

The Benelli Nova has no fanfire feature. Tom Knapp can hit 8 clays thrown that way.

Try it once and see how the fanfire feels, then check the hits. It'll probably be the only time you do it.

One of my boyhood friends dad had an old Ithaca that couled be fired like that, well, it still can be. It was before the disconnectors were installed. We both tried it one time. And one time was enough, useless "feature". We couldn't hit 2 soup cans with it.
