I've used it in 30-06 and it's fine but I dropped back down to Winchester power points as my go to deer ammo.
It opens up quite nicely.

No experience on game but my friends Mossberg .308 was been ridiculously accurate with the Deer Season XP 150 grain. It out shot the other 4 factory loads he tried. None of them shot that bad, but the XP was by far the most accurate.
