winchester 9422 ?

It would be to me. ;)
Looking at completed auctions on GunBroker, $600 would be the low end of what they're bringing.

Here is a link to one that sold for $649.

Not the best place to purchase, but searching ended auctions gives a pretty good indication of what the market will bear for any given firearm.

That is a fair price. I have been offered $850 for mine but I like it too much and it was a gift from my Dad so no way will I sell it. These are very nice, I think the nicest, .22 cal lever guns. I don't want to offend the Henry fans but that's how I feel. Very accurate by the way. Mine has been used to teach many folks how to shoot safely.

Wow, I have one that I bought 15 years ago with checkering. It's my favorite 22 rf and I would take it over any other lever action. Had no idea they are worth that kind of money but after owning one I believe it.

One of my great regret guns. I bought one many years ago when they first came out. It was a limited edition gun with deep bluing, gold inlays, and great checkering. It shot very, very well. It was one of those guns I hated to take out in case I might damage it while hunting. I ended up selling it and have regretted it ever since. It's worth the six hundred if it's in good condition. If you want it, get it.

Most of the 9422's on the assorted auction sites are .22 Magnums and run more than twice that. Mind you, there's a scoped LR only model in Cabela's Sidney, NE at $899.
Looks like where you are makes a big difference.

If you want one, I'd get it. I've looked at them in shops and the prices pretty much scared me away. That is not to say I don't buy $600+ 22 rifles, just not Winchester 9422.

Dang...a 9422 is worth that much these days? Amazing. I really do like mine, which I bought 8 years ago for $85. It's just a near perfect little rifle.

A related question ??

About 20-years ago, I won one of these at a banquet. The wood is walnut and a beautiful pattern as well as checkering. I've never shot it and at some point, will send it on to a better home. ..... :)

Problem; "perhaps"
There is a small medallion of the Conservation group, on the side of the stock. I "know" that it doesn't add to the value but does it distract from the value? Personally, I wish it was not there. Other than this medallion, there is nothing else that indicates anything special. Thanks for the replies. .... ;)

Be Safe !!!
