Hi Their,
Wondering if u could confirm what I was told was a Cal. 32-40 ?. Another identifing mark on the barrell is a letter P with the letter W centered on the letter P with an ovel around both letters. Also I gather from the serial number it was manufractured in 1907. Any value to this weapon?. Thanks, Mike

The WP is the Winchester Proof mark. The manufacture date you cite is correct.

There should be both the company trademark and caliber information on the side of the barrel.

Thanks for ur reply and as I looked again, there it was on the side of the barrel just in front of the hammer!!!. Is their any kind of value to this weapon?. BTW it is a 32-40 cal.

Other than some association with a noted or notorious person or some factor like decorative engraving, value will pretty much depend on condition. In average good condition (60-70 percent finish remaining), the value would be in the neighborhood of $1000. In near-new condtion, $2500 or more.
