Didn't know...
I had one when I was a kid back in the early 60's. Mine had a 7 shot (I believe it was 7) detachable magazine; got it used and it was in nice shape. I didn't know the M77 was also offered with a tube feed. Interesting. Though I did like that Winchester and the way it carried and shot, it did have a tendency to jam from time to time enough to where I traded it off on my first and only 10/22, which I still have. That Ruger brand new in 1966 had a price tag of $54.50. I can't remember what boot money I had to pay for the trade. As the old song goes, "thanks for the memories." Hadn't thought of that old .22 in a long time.
