Winchester 70 Sporter vs. 70 SS Extreme?

I know I want a Winchester 70 in 30-06. I am just having a hard time picking which one.

The Wood Sporter vs. the SS Extreme - which do you like better?

It is a general purpose gun to hunt everything from Coyotes to deer in the Western States.

1. I like wood better. But, I don't want POI changes if it gets wet.
2. I like the SS finish. But, I don't want to spook coyotes with it.

The wood sporter will have a 24" barrel and cost several hundred less. If you reload, you can push 180 Noslers for Elk over 2800 with ease in 24".

If you've got to have SS, then look at the Ruger Hawkeye. I've been amazed and the price is ridiculous and the quality is there with my M70s.
