The BOSS-CR is definitely well worth spending the $30 to get. For it still allows one to fine tune their rife to maximize its accuracy with ammo, but does not have the downside of the loud muzzle blast that the standard BOSS has.
And to me, protecting one's hearing is more important than protecting your shoulder from a bit more recoil. And the BOSS system really does work, too. Experiment with it a bit, and you will most like be able to make your rifle shoot some fantastic groups.
