Winchester 70 - Adding a detachable magazine

I have a Winchester 70, Cal .243, built 1993, Push Feed bolt, short action (7"). It is a 2 pieces floor plate. Currently I can load 3 bullet in it.
I''d like to know if it is possible to add a detachable magazine on it?

At one time, Sunny Hill was offering bottom metal for Winchester Model 70s, that allowed the use of detachable magazines (purchased elsewhere).

I don't know if they're still offering them, and their website has very little of their actual product line listed.

You should be able to load 5 in the magazine plus one more in the chamber with a model 70. You will most likely either have to buy a different stock designed for more modern 1 piece bottom metal or have the one you have modified.

They do make them, but I don't see any real advantage. This is marketed for 308, but don't see why it wouldn't work with 243.
