Winchester 69 and a scope

I have a Winchester 69 (as much as I can tell... according to the Internet articles, it clearly is the old 69 action, but in a 69A stock, a hybrid of sorts). It has what looks like a proprietary scope mounting position on the top of the receiver. Does anyone know of a sight base that attaches to that?

I searched and went through a few old forum threads, but for some reason everyone drills and taps their model 69s.

I see, thanks. Apparently that sight is known as "Winchester 96B" or "#14879". No idea why someone switched to a barrel mounted rear sight, and a modified one at that (converted from a notch sight to an aperture).

does it look like the barrel dovetail was milled in later? Peeps can be challenging for old eyes. maybe they were having trouble with their old gun and butchered the sights instead of just getting larger aperture.
